After all that you accomplished, what drives you to continue running?

Honestly the love of the sport drives me. It’s just a great thrill to be part of track and field at an elite level. So what drives me is my passion for the sport.


How do you motivate yourself on days when you don't feel like running?

I just think about my mom and how she struggles. That motivates me because she loves to see me run and do well.


On average, how many times and miles do you run a month?

That’s a tough one. I honestly don’t know.


What's the weirdest or funniest thing that ever happened to you while running?

Not making the NCAA finals my senior year in college but then a few months later placing 7th in the world championships.


What are your favorite types of fuel for running and why?

Mainly water. I’m picky with things that I put in my body. 


What's your favorite cheat food & drink?

The biggest burger in town and a Sprite.


Do you like ice baths? Why or why not?

Yes I love them. It helps with recovery after a hard training session. Plus my coach forces me to every day. 


What's the most important tip you like to give new runners?

My advice would be to train hard and stay focused. The biggest thing I tell new runners who want to race is to be humble when you win and when you lose. Also if you’re going to run track, put your all into it. You can’t half ass it in this sport.


What is your favorite running accomplishment so far?

Making three world finals and being top 10 in the world countless times.
